The SPM301HD Screw Pocket Machine is a tool designed for high-production woodworkers who need an easy way to create pocket-hole joinery. It offers a number of enhancements over the standard SPM301 model, including a spindle motor similar to those found in CNC machines, which runs continuously with minimal maintenance, and an air drill that replaces the router motor. The SPM301HD features a two-in-one motion that simultaneously drills a six-degree pilot hole and machines a screw pocket in under a second on most wood species. It has a heavy-duty, direct-drive continuous electric spindle motor, allowing for continuous pocketing production. According to Moore's Country Woodcrafting, Inc., this machine has helped them double their screw pocketing production and reach a rate of one million screw pockets per year.
